But last night we camped at a more remote site, managed by the Dept of Conservation. Nothing much there, just cold water and a loo, but we were on the edge of Lake Wanaka and the views were amazing... this was my attempt at a jump for joy ;-)
Mike and Mike travelled through Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, China, Australia and New Zealand for 3 months from mid September until Christmas 2009.

He's not the only jumper...

After a bit of arm twisting, I got Mike to agree to camp at this campsite - as Mike elluded to, there are usually very little facilities - a toilet and that is it - but it was great, we used the onboard shower, ate simpler and we were situated next to the 4th largest lake in NZ with great sunsets and very few people about- perfect. Mike was happier that there were a few other campers to overcome his irrational fear of being murdered - I tried to reassure him that if he carried on with that attitude, it's most likely that he would know his killer! :)
